Who is NJDespres anyway?
(pronounced: en-jay-day-pray)
NJDespres is Nicole J. Osborne Despres.
Nicole and her husband, Christopher Osborne, Jr., are the parents of 6 wonderful children ranging from age 9 to 18. Before forming this business, both worked for other organizations outside the home. Nicole juggled a successful career in management over an hour away from their home, while continuing her education, serving on numerous committees and boards, and maintaining a home with kids, dogs and a cat; while Chris worked full-time as a department supervisor for a large retail company, before taking a traveling, regional position with one of their vendors. Between work, karate classes, football practice, and all the other things that go along with parenting, they were always asked, "How do you do it all?". The truth was they weren't. There was a lot of self-neglect, and little time for each other.
This led to high stress levels, lack of sleep, poor diet and eventually a TIA for Nicole at an extremely young age. Time to refocus all that energy on better work/life balance and a higher quality of life for the whole family. Nicole decided to leave Corporate America, and the career she had spent her entire adult life building behind. She used the next several months to research just how many other people were in similar situations, and what she could do to help them.
That is how NJDespres Enterprises was formed. Out of necessity. To provide others with a cost effective solution to those things that are constantly in the back of their minds. Pecking at their brains. Causing them underlying stress that can and will affect every other aspect of their lives. NJDespres Enterprises was started for the regular person who just needed a boost. A project completed that they could never seem to get to. A better system of organization. Someone to keep track of the things they didn't want to have to worry about. The business grew from there.
With that goal in mind, Nicole was called into her first "Hoarder House" long before most people knew that such a disorder even existed. Immediately filled with compassion, and recognizing that the condition of the home had to be the result of a mental illness of some sort, Nicole reached out to the now internationally know expert, Gail Steketee for advice on working with her new client. Fortunately, Ms. Steketee was in the early stages of her research and proved to be a wonderful resource. Since then, Nicole has studied every development in compulsive hoarding and acquiring disorders, which has now become her passion and the focus of the business. Arguably, she is one of the top hands-on hoarding experts in the country.
With the increased demand for their services, Chris also left his position in Corporate America and is now the owner of the company. He and Nicole enjoy spending more time together at work and home with their family. Their oldest son, Joshua is also employed part-time with the company as he is pursuing his education.
